Teenager Found Trapped & Unresponsive After Crash: Ottawa – KZN

ARRIVE ALIVE…

An 18-year-old driver was found trapped and unresponsive in his vehicle after it left the roadway and crashed into a bush along Old Main Road in Ottawa – KZN this morning (Friday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene at approximately 01:54 following reports of a motor vehicle accident in the area.

On arrival, Reaction Officers located a silver Toyota Corolla in a bush next to the roadway. The driver was found trapped inside the vehicle.

Officers established that the driver was unresponsive but still alive at the time of assessment. Firefighters were called to the scene and utilised the Jaws of Life to extricate the male from the wreckage.

The driver was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital by a private ambulance service. The extent of his injuries could not be confirmed at the time.
