Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to reports of a truck that had overturned, with occupants sustaining injuries.
Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, five (5) individuals were found seated on the side of the road.
It was established that the truck was travelling in the direction of Trenance Park, KwaZulu-Natal, when the driver allegedly failed to negotiate a bend, resulting in the vehicle overturning. The UD tipper was loaded with sand at the time of the incident.
Three (3) female passengers informed Reaction Officers that the driver had been assisting them with transport when the accident occurred.
All five (5) occupants sustained injuries and received emergency medical treatment at the scene before being transported to a medical facility.
