One person was killed following a drive-by shooting in the Redfern area of Phoenix on Friday evening.
KZN VIP emergency teams were dispatched to the scene after receiving multiple reports of gunshots in the area.
Upon further investigation, it was established that a vehicle had pulled up alongside a male before the occupants opened fire multiple times, fatally wounding the victim before fleeing the scene.
Paramedics arrived on scene and sadly declared the victim deceased after finding no signs of life.
The circumstances leading up to the incident cannot be confirmed at this stage pending an SAPS investigation.
