A motorist was injured after a silver-grey Volkswagen Polo left the M4 northbound lane between Umdloti – KZN and La Mercy – KZN yesterday afternoon (Sunday, 06/09/2026).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was called out to the scene following a request for assistance.
On arrival, the Volkswagen Polo was located in dense bushes and lodged against a tree with its lights still illuminated.
The driver was the only occupant and was unable to explain how the accident occurred. He sustained minor injuries including open bleeding wounds and was transported privately to a medical facility.
The Volkswagen Polo sustained extensive damage to its front and undercarriage….
