Vehicle Leaves Road & Crashes Into Tree: Waterloo – KZN

At approximately 19:55 on Saturday (27/06/2026), a vehicle left the M27 and crashed into a tree near Phase 6 in Waterloo – KZN after the driver reportedly lost control while negotiating a bend.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene after the Operations Centre received reports of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers located a red Renault Kwid that had left the roadway and come to rest against a tree in dense vegetation off the M27.

The Renault Kwid sustained extensive damage to the front end, left front side, windscreen and roof.

The driver was not injured and declined medical assistance.
