ARRIVE ALIVE…
In the first incident (picture 1), a 66-year-old female was crossing the roadway when she was knocked by a blue Opel Corsa bakkie. The pedestrian suffered a serious injury to her left ankle, which twisted on impact, resulting in a dislocation.
While members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were attending to the first pedestrian vehicle accident, a second accident occurred after a 38-year-old male reportedly fled across the road when he was struck by a grey Tata Indicar (picture 2). He sustained injuries after his head made contact with the vehicle’s windscreen. The injured man was transported privately to a medical facility for further treatment.
The drivers of both vehicles were not injured….
