At approximately 06:20, members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were flagged down by the public requesting assistance. Upon investigation, Officers located two (2) damaged vehicles and two (2) injured pedestrians.
According to the driver of a white Toyota Tazz, he was travelling towards the Verulam CBD – KZN when he attempted to overtake a white Volkswagen Polo Vivo. The Toyota Tazz struck the front-right side of the VW Polo before veering onto the pavement and knocking down the two (2) women.
One (1) pedestrian sustained injuries to her leg and head as well as internal injuries. The second woman suffered leg injuries.
Paramedics treated both pedestrians on scene before transporting them to hospital for further medical care….
