Truth and Real life

Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

John 14:6 AMP

What does it mean to have a “real” life? Is it money, success, or family? I would argue it’s none of these. If you don’t have a relationship with your Creator, you are lost. And I dare to say that simply “knowing” Jesus isn’t the full picture of entering heaven. Let’s look at that famous verse again:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”

What He is truly saying is this: If you want to enter a deeper level of faith, you must accept that Jesus is the only key to a relationship with God, His loving Father.

Imagine Jesus waiting at the doors of the Throne Room. He says to you, “Wait, you can’t enter yet—the weight of your sin is too much, and I want you to live! If you enter as you are, you would cease to exist. Let Me cover you. Let Me wash you clean, dress you in new robes, and place a ring on your finger. Now, let’s walk into the Throne Room together.”

The focus of Jesus’s ministry was to show the world that God is a loving Father who cares more than our fickle minds can conceive. But here is the catch: you cannot enter that relationship with the Father if you don’t accept the Son as the Messiah.

Even if you claim to be a Christian, it is all for naught if you haven’t fully “unwrapped” your free gift. Imagine a short letter at the bottom of that gift box that reads: “You found your way in Me. Now you have the Truth in your heart and a new life in your soul. Come, live with Me in My Father’s house.”

You were meant to enter the Throne Room. You were meant to live your life through Christ, standing before God. Put God first, and everything else will follow.
