A 49-year-old suspect was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning, 04 December 2025, at Oshayanyawo in KwaZulu-Natal after police discovered three unlicensed firearms.
The arrest follows an intelligence-driven operation conducted jointly by the Ulundi Tactical Response Team as well as King Cetshwayo Task Team at Oshayanyawo area under the Ekombe policing precinct. During the operation police recovered three unlicensed firearms which included, an AK47 assault rifle with three rounds of ammunition, an HMC pistol with 14 rounds of ammunition as well as a shotgun with 13 rounds of ammunition.
A 49-year-old suspect was subsequently arrested and charged for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. He will appear before the eNkandla Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 05 December 2025….
