The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Social Crime Prevention Unit Officers conducted a road safety awareness campaign along the R562 near the R21 on-ramp in the Thembisa area.
The purpose of the campaign was to educate motorists on safe driving practices during the festive season and raise awareness about road safety. Officers engaged with road users, conducted stop-and-search operations and issued fines to those found in violation of traffic laws.
Motorists are reminded to drive responsibly and remain vigilant at all times.
