On arrival, Officers located a white Toyota Corolla that had left the roadway, descended an embankment and came to rest in dense bushes.
The driver’s side window was open and both the front and rear registration plates had been removed. A white tissue with what appeared to be dried blood stains was noticed inside the vehicle (picture 3).
Reaction Officers conducted enquiries to identify the registered owner of the vehicle. A radio enquiry was conducted and checks on the eNatis database yielded no owner or vehicle registration details.
Residents from a nearby informal settlement informed Officers that the vehicle had been abandoned at the location during the early hours of the morning.
