N3 Toll Route | Traffic Alert | Thursday, 20 August 2026 @ 18h00 — an earlier truck crash on the N3 Southbound approaching the Peter Brown Interchange in Pietermaritzburg, is causing a significant backlog of traffic on the Southbound carriageway of the N3 Toll Route, currently extending to Howick(N)/Tweetie I/C 107.
“We request all drivers to please drive defensively and to remain patient, vigilant and cautious while emergency services are busy with the vehicle recovery and cleanup operations, and until the extensive backlog has cleared” urges Ms Thania Dhoogra, N3TC’s chief operating officer.
