Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to Emagwaveni Road after residents investigated the sound of gunshots and made the discovery.
Upon arrival at approximately 22:36, Reaction Officers discovered a 41-year-old male seated in a red Renault Triber, found off a gravel road in a bushy area approximately 100 metres from his residence. The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and was declared deceased at the scene.
Members of the public informed Officers that they had heard multiple gunshots shortly before the discovery was made. The vehicle was found with seven (7) gunshot holes on the driver’s side window (picture 2), and four (4) spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.
The deceased was reportedly disarmed of his firearm, while his cellphone and wallet were also missing. Family members stated that the victim had been returning…
