Fatal Crash Claims Life of 14 Year Old on M25, KwaMashu, Durban

A 14-year-old boy has tragically lost his life following a serious single-vehicle crash along the M25 highway near Duffs Road in KwaMashu, Durban.

Multiple emergency calls were received reporting a severe collision in which a vehicle allegedly lost control, overturned, and landed in the path of oncoming traffic.

During the incident, the young passenger was ejected from the vehicle, sustaining critical injuries after landing on the roadway. It is believed that an oncoming vehicle was unable to avoid the victim and subsequently drove over him.

KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services responded promptly to the scene. Upon assessment, the 14 year old male showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on scene.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident. South African Police Service (SAPS) were in attendance and will be conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
