ARRIVE ALIVE…

Eastern Cape Health MEC Ntandokazi Capa is currently handing over 24 new ambulances, which will immediately be deployed across seven health districts to strengthen emergency response capacity where it is needed most.

The latest deployment will see Alfred Nzo receive 4 ambulances, Amathole 3, Buffalo City Metro 3, Chris Hani 3, Joe Gqabi 3, OR Tambo 4 and Sarah Baartman 4.

This third deployment brings the total number of new ambulances distributed since August to 71, as the Department continues with its broader rollout of 195 new ambulances by March 2027.

This is about putting more ambulances on the road, closer to communities, and strengthening the province’s ability to respond when every minute counts
