We believe that any country’s laws should protect us, and that South Africa’s Constitution is one of the most progressive in the world, but sadly, this “idealism” falls short because of human error and neglect.
Our roads are still strewn with the carnage of drunk driving, and good people’s lives are destroyed because of scrupulous drunks behind the wheel. Drunk driving should be seen as assault with a deadly weapon, not just a slap on the wrist.
