?Upon arrival, emergency services were met with a scene of significant destruction. A heavy-duty truck and a double-cab bakkie had collided head-on with such force that a second bakkie, unable to avoid the primary impact, crashed into the wreckage of the truck.
The initial head-on collision left the first bakkie crumpled, with two occupants violently trapped within the twisted metal. The complexity of the scene, involving three vehicles, necessitated a massive and technical rescue operation.
Paramedics conducted a rapid triage and identified a total of seven patients, two Trapped Occupants, one patient was found in critical condition, suffering from severe head trauma and traumatic amputations.
