8-Year-old fighting for his life after a dog attack at Sunford, Phoenix

What was supposed to be an ordinary Sunday afternoon turned into a terrifying fight for survival for an eight year old boy and a family member after they were viciously mauled by two dogs along Bramford in the Sunford area of Phoenix.

It is believed that the young boy was walking with his family member when two dogs escaped from a nearby residential property and charged towards them. In a moment of absolute terror, the eight year old attempted to hide behind a family member for protection but the dogs continued their attack.

The family member desperately fought to protect his son and remove the dogs, sustaining multiple bite wounds across his body in the process. The attack left the young boy with life threatening injuries.

KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, where medics were confronted with a severely injured child and his wounded a family member as well as another resident, 2 patients were immediately stabilised before being rapidly transported to hospital…
