Thursday, 29 Oct @ 20h30 — Two burning trucks on the southbound carriageway and thick smoke are obstructing the southbound carriageway near the Vaaldraai Interchange.

The fire has been extinguished but southbound traffic is being stacked at the scene. Northbound traffic is moving past the scene.

Road users are advised to approach the area with caution. “Please stay alert and if possible, delay travel to the region until further notice,” says Thania Dhoogra, chief operating officer of N3TC.

Law enforcement officials and emergency services are attending to the scene but road users are warned to expect congestion and traffic delays while cleanup and recovery operations are underway.
