Who is Dronk Vark
Meet Dronk Vark
Besides being a derogatory term for an idiot who drives drunk, Dronk Vark is an AI persona that was originally created as part of our AWTOMAI project. But somewhere along the way, Dronk Vark took on a life of his own.

The character unexpectedly emerged while we were creating a track to mark the six-year anniversary of our unplanned meeting with our “suspected” drunk driver.

That meeting changed our lives. Life has not been the same since that day. What was supposed to be an ordinary journey became a moment that would leave consequences reaching far beyond the accident itself. Six years later, the physical, practical and emotional effects are still part of our reality. And yet, somewhere in the middle of all of this, something unexpected happened.
Dronk Vark was born.
What started as an AI-generated character became a way of putting a face, a voice and a little dark humour to something that is anything but funny: people getting behind the wheel after drinking and putting their own lives and the lives of completely innocent people at risk.
Dronk Vark is not intended to glorify drunk driving. Quite the opposite. He represents the reckless thinking that says, “I’m fine. Nothing will happen.” The same thinking that can turn an ordinary drive home into a tragedy. Behind the cartoon character, the music is a very real message. Drunk driving destroys lives.
It affects families, passengers, pedestrians, emergency workers, communities and innocent people who never made the decision to drink and drive. Sometimes the consequences last for years. Our story is one of those stories. But there is another part of our story that is just as important.
Our God is greater than our circumstances.
We cannot change what happened six years ago. We cannot undo the accident or erase the consequences. But we can choose what we do with what happened to us. Dronk Vark has therefore become more than an AI character. He has become part of a campaign to challenge the normalisation of drunk driving and to remind people that getting behind the wheel after drinking is not harmless, funny or simply a personal choice.
It can change someone else’s life forever.
So, meet Dronk Vark. He may be a cartoon pig. He may be the product of AI. But the message behind him is real: DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.
Because the person you meet on the road may not get a second chance.
