Multiple school children have sustained injuries following a serious collision involving a minibus taxi and a heavy motor vehicle on Old Inanda Road near the Inanda Tea Estate on Friday afternoon.
KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services, together with multiple emergency responders, arrived on scene to find several injured patients requiring urgent medical attention.
Immediate stabilisation and advanced life support intervention were rendered to the injured patients on scene by emergency personnel. Patients were treated accordingly before being transported to nearby medical facilities for the further medical care they required.
The exact circumstances leading up to the collision cannot be confirmed at this stage and remain subject to investigation.
All emergency services were in attendance.
